The salt water of the five large seas, known as the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic and Antarctic cover over 70% of the earth’s surface.
We know more of the moon’s surface than the ocean floor. These little globes schematically represent the major ocean currents.

Globe 75 mm diameter, supplied with a clear acrylic base 75 mm x 75 mm x 15 mm

Please note that the globes are carefully hand made to order, so please allow up to ten weeks before despatch. If your order is urgent, please email to check availability.

All globes are individually hand-painted therefore colours may vary slightly from the photograph displayed.

I wanted to say thank you to a close friend with a unique gift.  Knowing he was a lover of old maps the Little Globe Company offered me something very special, an intricate, tactile, pocket globe in porcelain etched with the ebb and flow of the ocean's currents, something that Loraine presented me as a metaphor for friendship over time.  Not only was it perfect, its sumptuous English Oak case adorned on the inside with the constellations, made the very opening of the gift a magical occasion.
